THINGS TO DO
Geology - The area is a goldmine for geologists with some of the earliest of Earth's rocks, showcasing volcanic and glacial history. Lochaber Geopark (visitor centre closed) https://lochabergeopark.org.uk/
Local History - The West Coast has a multi-layered and multi-faceted history. From Bronze age settlements to crofting townships and then to slate quarries and aluminium factories - the wealth of times gone by are there to be revisited. Connected directly with Lagnaha is The Appin Murder Trail and story upon which Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped" is based. The information boards along the cycle track are there to guide you. Around the corner in Glen Coe we have the Scottish National Trust Vistor Centre with its reconstructed Turf House and recounted history of the 1692 Massacre in GlenCoe

Gardens - The temperate climate on the West Coast, influenced by the Gulf Stream, has preserved pockets of ancient Atlantic rainforests, and creates an ideal micro-climate for both wild flora and cutivated gardens. Lagnaha has a wild flower and shrub garden.
